LPN/LVN Night Shift - Long Term Care (Contract) — Millville, NJ

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Millville, NJ team on a 7-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel role with an overnight schedule (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) and a rate of $1,168 per 40 hours.

What you’ll need

• Current, active LPN license for the state
• BLS certification

A quick look at the role
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. That means administering medications and IVs, performing wound care, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and helping with patient assessments and individualized care plans. You’ll also educate patients and families, assist with catheter care and specimen collection, and support patient comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities (highlights)

• Deliver direct patient care: meds, wound care, vitals, and basic assessments
• Administer and monitor IV fluids and medications; ensure proper line function
• Perform wound management and watch for infection or complications
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient condition and treatments
• Collect and prepare samples (blood, urine, sputum) for testing
• Educate patients and families on conditions, meds, and self-care
• Assist with mobility, positioning, pain management, and other comfort measures
• Follow infection control, safe medication handling, and PPE protocols
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff for coordinated care
• Occasionally supervise CNAs or other assistive personnel as assigned
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing best practices
• Other duties as assigned by Management
