Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Active Virginia LPN license (or compact license valid in VA)
- Current CPR/AED (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience (pediatrics preferred)
- Experience supporting students with specific medical/behavioral needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized nursing care to an assigned student per established protocols
- Implement delegated nursing tasks and medication administration as directed by supervising RN
- Comply with IDEA, HIPAA, and FERPA requirements
- Follow district schedules, policies, and school procedures
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct in the school setting
- Complete required screenings, trainings, and documentation timely and accurately
- Report absences or changes in student status to appropriate school/district personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned related to student health and safety
