Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing services in a school setting located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide skilled nursing services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Current, active, and unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license (or multi-state compact license)
• Current CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics, school nursing, emergency, or public health
• Demonstrated clinical competency in school-based healthcare needs, including but not limited to:Tracheostomy care, Suctioning
   Seizure management, Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care, Asthma/allergy/oxygen management, Diabetes care, Catheterization and ostomy care

Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized services based on assigned student needs
• Comply with IDEA, HIPAA, and FERPA regulations
• Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct
• Follow District schedules, policies, and assigned duties
• Notify school personnel of absences
• Comply with all required screenings and training
• Any other duties as assigned
