Join a medical oncology outpatient team to provide symptom management and supportive care in Greenville, NC. This locum tenens assignment is clinical-only and covers supplemental outpatient services in a busy infusion setting.
Assignment details:
- Specialty: Medical Oncology NP/PA — Symptom Management Clinic
- Location: Greenville, NC
- Setting: Outpatient infusion clinic
- Coverage period: Begins May 28, 2026 — ongoing (initial 6 weeks)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Patient volume: ~12–14 patients/day
- Case mix: Management of chemotherapy side effects (nausea, vomiting, dehydration, fever) and medication reactions in the nearby infusion suite
- Facility: 12-bed unit, Trauma Level I
- Responsibilities: Symptom assessment and management; respond to infusion-related medication reactions. No code responses or critical care duties.
- Coverage: Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements:
- Active NC license
- Board certified or board eligible (BC/BE)
- BLS certification
- Hematology/oncology experience preferred
