Shift: Nights, 07:00 PM–07:00 AM
Rate: Travel: $1,422 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic assessments.
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (vital signs, physical exam, med history) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following protocols.
  • Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds, incisions, and dressings for infection or complications.
  • Document patient status, interventions, medication administration, and changes in condition clearly and promptly.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Initiate, maintain, and monitor IV therapy and IV medications per facility policy.
  • Provide catheter care, including insertion, maintenance, and monitoring for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing per guidelines.
  • Assist with patient mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as required.
  • Follow infection control procedures and proper use of PPE.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies in accordance with regulations.
  • Coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and training.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
