Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C-OTA) — 13-Week Contract, Carmichael CA

We’re seeking a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a contract/travel assignment in Carmichael, CA. This position starts ASAP for 13 weeks and follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM shift every day of the week (Sun–Sat). Compensation is: Travel $1,579/35-hours or Local $1,558/35-hours.

What you’ll need

• A valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.

What you’ll do

• Support the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to understand their physical and functional needs.
• Help create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the OT.
• Implement interventions and activities that improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living independence.
• Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of treatments, progress, and any changes in condition.
• Coach patients and their families on at-home exercises and strategies to support recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the OT and broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to help patients stay motivated.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
