Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) | Chico, CA | Day Shift

Join a high-acuity cardiovascular unit in Chico, CA — contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. Day shift, starts at 7:00 AM; 36-hour schedule; pay $2,686 per 36 hours.

Required qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Prior CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
• Proficient with cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and related procedures

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring
• Continuously monitor vitals, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and responses to interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including emergencies
• Adhere to unit policies, protocols, and safety standards; engage in quality improvement and ongoing professional development
