Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician — Outpatient OB Care & Ultrasound (Eureka, CA)

We’re seeking a board-certified OB/GYN to cover an outpatient locum tenens position in Eureka, CA (95501). This is a clinical-only role, covering Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis to fill a vacancy due to maternity/paternity leave. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided by the agency.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver outpatient OB/GYN care without delivery responsibilities.
• Manage both low- and high-risk obstetric patients.
• Perform and interpret dating and OB ultrasounds.
• Interpret fetal monitoring (NST/CST/FSE) and provide newborn care as needed.
• Complete charting and close encounters within 72 hours.

Typical patient load and setting

• Outpatient clinic using Epic
• Average daily volume: ~18 patients

Credentials and requirements

• Board-certified in OB/GYN
• California medical license required
• Active DEA registration
• BLS and NPR certifications
• Minimum of one year of office experience preferred
• Credentialing timeline: approximately 30–90 days
• Hospital privileges: not required; temporary privileges not available
