Locum Tenens Critical Care NP/PA Closed ICU (Epic), Intubation & Line Skills Needed, Meridian MS

We’re seeking a Critical Care NP/PA for locum tenens coverage in Meridian, MS, working in a closed ICU (CCU) at a 260-bed hospital that uses Epic. This is clinical-only coverage starting June 1, 2026 and continuing ongoing. Shifts are day (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). You’ll be caring for adult patients in a critical care setting with admissions and rounding included.

What you’ll do

• Provide high-quality critical care in the CCU.
• Admit and round on patients as needed.
• Perform required procedures including intubations, central line and arterial line placements.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Work alongside on-site NP/PAs and physician backup (physician coverage available daytime).

Requirements

• Active Mississippi license.
• ACNP certification required (AGACNP or PA-C acceptable; ACNP specified).
• Active DEA with MS address; CSR if state requires.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Procedure experience with intubation, central and arterial lines.
• Preferred: 2 years recent critical care experience; new graduates may be considered.
• Documentation: case logs from the past 2 years, 40 CME credits in the past 2 years, DOP signed by supervising physician.
• Immunizations: flu vaccine required; COVID vaccination preferred.
