Clinical Scope & Procedures

• Case mix: General cardiology
• Common procedures: EKGs, Holter monitor placement, stress testing (exercise & nuclear), echocardiograms/TEE, cardioversions
• Rounding: Inpatient rounding and consultations included
• Support staff: Medical assistants + 1 RN
• Beds in department: 122
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Board certified in Cardiology (required)
• Active West Virginia medical license preferred; IMLC accepted or WV temporary license available
• DEA required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TEE
• Experience: Comfortable performing and interpreting cardiac diagnostic testing

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients (adult)
• Perform cardiac risk assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Interpret and oversee cardiac diagnostic testing (EKG, Holter, stress tests, echo/TEE)
• Perform procedures listed above, provide inpatient consults and rounds
• Participate in continuous 24/7 call coverage and phone consults
