Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous perioperative, PAT, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced surgical environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre- and post-operative care in SDC, PAT, and ambulatory surgery
- Conduct pre-admission testing and surgical readiness assessments
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure proper documentation
- Monitor recovery, airway, and post-anesthesia status
- Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered
- Identify risks and ensure pre-op clearances are completed
- Educate patients on pre/post-procedure instructions
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and care team
- Document care and patient response in the EMR
