Travel RN Operating Room (Circulator) Sitka, AK (Contract)

Assignment: Contract/Travel — 40 hours/week
Rate: $2,844/40 hours

Overview:
Provide perioperative nursing care as a circulating RN in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, maintain sterile technique, assist the surgical team, and document care.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the practicing state
• BLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and communication
• Perioperative/surgical nursing experience preferred
• CNOR or other perioperative certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and OR environment for surgical procedures
• Circulate during procedures: monitor patient status, anticipate needs, and assist the surgical team
• Administer medications and maintain aseptic/sterile technique
• Accurately document nursing care, intraoperative events, and patient outcomes
• Provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and families
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR personnel to coordinate care
