Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool (Cardiac/Med-Surg) Rockford, IL (Contract)

Join a dynamic float pool team in Rockford, IL — immediate start. This is a contract/travel opportunity with 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. shifts and a pay rate of $2,052 per 36-hour week.

What you’ll bring

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong background in cardiac nursing
• Experience across Medical-Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Step-Down/ICU settings
• Current BLS (CPR), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

What you’ll do

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders, facility policy, and state regulations
• Continuously monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation that meets regulatory and facility standards
• Create individualized care plans and provide education and support to patients and families
• Champion patient safety and quality outcomes and take part in performance improvement initiatives
