Travel Respiratory Therapist (C-RRT) — Norfolk, VA — Night Shift (13-Week Contract)

We’re seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join a healthcare team in Norfolk, VA on a 13-week contract, starting ASAP. This evening/night shift runs 07:00 PM–07:00 AM. Compensation for travel candidates is $1,677 per 35-hour week; local candidates $1,652 per 35-hour week.

What we need from you

• Active, valid Respiratory Therapy state license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

What you’ll be doing

• Assess patients’ respiratory status, including lung function and oxygenation, and use those findings to guide care
• Develop individualized respiratory care plans that reflect assessments and medical history
• Deliver treatments to improve lung function and ease respiratory distress
• Manage and adjust mechanical ventilators for patients who need respiratory support
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and teach self-care strategies
• Respond quickly and effectively to respiratory emergencies following established protocols
• Keep respiratory equipment clean, maintained, and ready for use
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Adhere to infection control, quality assurance, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
