Join a healthcare team in Waldorf, MD as a contract/travel Speech‑Language Pathologist. This full‑time, 11‑week assignment begins ASAP with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation: Travel: $2,317/35 hours; Local: $2,282/35 hours.
Minimum requirement:
- Valid, active state license to practice as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders to determine type and severity.
- Develop individualized, goal‑directed treatment plans and implement evidence‑based therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
- Assess and treat dysphagia; teach safe swallowing strategies and compensatory techniques.
- Recommend and provide training on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, communication strategies, and carryover techniques for home, school, and work.
- Monitor and document patient progress, revise treatment plans as indicated, and maintain accurate clinical records (assessments, plans, and progress notes).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to support coordinated, patient‑centered care.
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education and participate in other duties as assigned by management.
