**Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery PA | OR + Call | Clinton Township, MI**
**Why This Role**
- High-acuity CT surgery role with consistent OR exposure
- Work alongside dedicated cardiothoracic surgeons in a structured team setting
- Strong procedural experience with no new grads accepted
**Assignment Details**
- Start: ASAP (upon credentialing)
- Ongoing need
- Schedule: 7a–5p
- Call: Rotational, approx. 1:4
- Setting: Inpatient OR
- EMR: Epic
**Clinical Details**
- Primary role is first assist in cardiothoracic surgery
- 4–8 patients per day (adult population)
- Procedures include central lines, dialysis catheters, arterial lines, IABP placement, vein harvesting, endoscopic retrieval, chest tubes, and thoracentesis
- Physician present in OR; no independent practice
**Requirements**
- Board Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
- Active Michigan license required (no pending)
- Minimum 1 year CT surgery OR experience required
- Robotic experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS required
- Credentialing timeframe: ~90–120 days
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
