**Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery PA | OR + Call | Lexington, KY**
**Why This Role**
- High-acuity CT surgery role with strong OR exposure
- Consistent PRN coverage with ongoing needs
- Work alongside experienced surgeons in a well-supported environment
**Assignment Details**
- Dates: May 31 – June 13 | July 20–26 (ongoing PRN)
- Schedule: Weekend call 7a–7a (1 weekend/month) + 1–2 call days/week
- Setting: Inpatient + OR
- EMR: Epic
**Clinical Details**
- First assist in cardiothoracic procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, and lung resection
- Vein harvesting, chest tube placement
- ICU and telemetry rounding
- High-acuity surgical cases with direct surgeon support
**Requirements**
- Board Certified Physician Assistant
- Active Kentucky license
- ACLS, BLS, DEA required
- Must be experienced in CT surgery procedures
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Credentialing timeframe: ~90–110 days
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
