Overview:
We are seeking an Endocrinologist to join our dedicated outpatient team in Maryland. This full-time locum assignment provides the opportunity to deliver exceptional care to a diverse patient population with endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Position Details:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Approximately 20 shifts per month
- Average 14-17 patients per day
- No call or inpatient rounding
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat endocrine disorders, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, thyroid conditions, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and goiter
- Manage patients with thyroid disorders and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Complete prescription refills and inbox messaging for patients
- Perform thyroid fine needle aspirations (FNA) independently
- Collaborate with clinical staff to provide the highest level of care
Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Active Maryland license (willing to accept IMLC candidates)
- DEA, CSR, ACLS and BLS
- Minimum 3 years of experience
