Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Certification (CST) preferred or required depending on facility.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and OR procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist in surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain sterile field and follow strict infection control protocols.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies during procedures.
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Anticipate surgeon’s needs and respond promptly during surgery.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate surgical records as required.
