Travel Registered Nurse (RN) — Night House Supervisor (Arcata, CA)

Join a contract opportunity in Arcata, CA as a Registered Nurse serving as House Supervisor. Start ASAP for night shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), 36 hours at $2,182.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 2–3+ years acute care nursing experience; supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required; facility-specific certifications may apply.
• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, communication, crisis-management, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with patient flow management and hospital operations preferred.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing staff across units during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate patient flow—admissions, transfers, discharges—and manage bed/staffing assignments to maintain safe ratios.
• Act as administrator-on-duty to resolve operational issues, staff concerns, and patient/family needs.
• Respond to emergencies, rapid responses, and critical events; provide direction and support.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
• Assess staffing needs, reassign personnel, and document incidents, staffing decisions, and operational concerns.
• Support teams with problem-solving, conflict resolution, escalation management, and promote a collaborative, efficient work environment.
