Join a high-acuity cardiovascular unit to deliver focused, patient-centered care. You will provide direct nursing for CVU patients—managing pre- and post-procedure monitoring, cardiac rhythm surveillance, medication and IV therapy administration, and rapid response to changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, educate patients and families, and ensure safe, evidence-based practice. Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and participation in quality improvement and continuing education are expected.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Proficiency with cardiovascular monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and related procedures

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct CVU nursing care, including pre/post-procedure assessment and monitoring
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely
• Recognize and promptly respond to clinical deterioration and emergencies
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and execute patient-centered plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Adhere to unit policies, protocols, and safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and ongoing professional development
