Schedule: Mon–Fri, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
Rate: Travel: $1,383 / 35 hours; Local: $1,362 / 35 hours
Requirement:
- Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations, medical history collection, and goal setting
- Implement prescribed interventions and exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility
- Administer modalities and operate therapeutic equipment as ordered
- Instruct patients (and caregivers) in exercises, techniques, and home programs for recovery
- Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and timely
- Communicate and coordinate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding treatment plans
- Follow safety and infection-control policies and maintain a hygienic therapy environment
- Provide encouragement and basic emotional support to patients
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
