Seeking a Locum Tenens OB/GYN to provide in-house hospitalist coverage in Minneapolis, MN. Call-only position with 12- or 24-hour shifts (in-house call 7:00–7:00 when 24-hour). Coverage is ASAP – ongoing. Service setting: hospital.

Patient Population & Case Mix
• Adults with high-risk obstetrics
• Average volume: ~11–12 deliveries/day
• Admissions and rounding required; phone consults TBD
• Primary case mix: high-risk pregnancies, obstetrical emergencies, cesarean sections

Facility & Support
• Trauma level I or II facility
• EMR: Epic (Excellian)
• Fetal monitoring: OBIX system
• 24/7 Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) backup and available OB/GYN providers
• Support staff and MFM consultation available on site
• Coverage need: supplemental hospitalist support

Privileges, Credentialing & Compliance
• Hospital privileges required; temporary emergency privileges available for clean files
• Typical credentialing timeline: 90–120 days

Compensation & Logistics
• Rate: TBD
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

Required Procedures & Experience
• Proficiency in cesarean sections and emergency obstetrical procedures
• Experience managing high-risk obstetrics in Trauma I or II settings required

Qualifications
• Active MN medical license preferred or IMLC eligible
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active DEA registration required
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk pregnancies

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide 24-hour in-house OB hospitalist coverage per scheduled shifts
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients with MFM support and collaborate with in-house teams
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies and urgent inpatient needs
• Perform and assist with C-sections and other obstetrical procedures
• Communicate and coordinate care with hospital staff and specialty consultants
