- Rate: $1,860/40-hours
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Endoscopy Technician or GI Technician training program (preferred)
- BLS certification
- Previous experience in endoscopy or GI lab (preferred)
- Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing standards (AAMI, SGNA, AORN)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move equipment and patients
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during GI procedures (EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, etc.)
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment prior to cases
- Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopic instruments according to infection control standards
- Transport patients and position them appropriately for procedures
- Monitor and restock supplies and equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs related to scope reprocessing
- Adhere to facility safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies
- Support nursing staff with patient care as needed
