Join a friendly team in St. Johnsbury, VT, as a locum tenens CRNA providing anesthesia care at a critical access hospital. This role offers supplemental clinical coverage with optional call, starting ASAP for approximately 4–6 months and continuing on an ongoing basis (about five shifts per month).
Schedule and Setting
- Clinical shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- On-call: optional
- Service setting: hospital operating room with surgeon-led OR support and a surgical team available
- Facility: critical access hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT
Clinical Scope
- Adult patients primarily, with occasional pediatric cases
- Bread-and-butter case mix: general surgery, orthopedics, OB, and urology
- Responsibilities include providing general anesthesia, orthopedic and OB anesthesia, and urology procedures
- Manage patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively and collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff
Requirements and Credentials
- Active Vermont license required
- NBCRNA certification required
- Bread-and-butter anesthesia experience is required
- Clean background check required
- Hospital privileges will be required; temporary privileges/credentialing timeline to be determined
Logistics and Compensation
- Locum tenens position; rate and some credentialing details TBD
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered
