Rate: Travel: $2,121/35-hours; Local: $2,090/35-hours
Requirements:
- Valid, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Core responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing
- Diagnose types and severity of communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, pragmatic skills, and swallowing (dysphagia)
- Evaluate for and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions as needed
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in strategies, exercises, and safety techniques to support communication and swallowing
- Monitor, document, and modify treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate, timely clinical records (assessments, plans, progress notes)
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care
- Facilitate generalization of skills to daily activities, school, or work settings
- Participate in professional development to maintain current best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
