Join our team in Albuquerque, NM as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a 14-week contract (start ASAP). This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $1,505/35 hours; Local: $1,484/35 hours.
Requirements:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Occupational Therapist in patient evaluations to identify physical and functional limitations.
- Collaborate on and implement individualized treatment plans to improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living independence.
- Provide instruction and training on assistive devices and adaptive equipment to maximize patient function.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation of treatments, progress, and changes in condition.
- Educate and coach patients and families on at-home exercises and strategies to support recovery.
- Communicate regularly with the OT and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Follow safety and infection-control policies to maintain a safe therapy environment.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to help patients reach their goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
