COTA (Contract) Bowie, MD | 13-Week OT Assistant Role, MonFri Day Shift, Competitive Travel Pay

Seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week contract in Bowie, MD, starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $1,383/35-hour week; Local: $1,362/35-hour week.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist with patient evaluations to identify physical and functional limitations.
• Help develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and independence in daily activities.
• Instruct patients in the safe and effective use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and changes in condition clearly and promptly.
• Provide patients and families with education and home-exercise training to support recovery.
• Communicate and coordinate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent, patient-centered care.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols and maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients working toward therapeutic goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
