Locum Tenens Family/Internal Medicine Physician — Outpatient (Crescent City, CA)

We’re seeking a Family/Internal Medicine provider to join an outpatient clinic in Crescent City, CA on a locum tenens basis. This role is full time (4 weeks per month) and runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with coverage needed ASAP and ongoing. You’ll see a typical daily patient volume of about 18, treating both pediatrics and adults, and you’ll work with a small clinical team (1 RN and 2 MAs).

What you’ll do

• Evaluate and manage patients’ healthcare needs, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and coordinate ongoing care.
• Provide clinical-only coverage in the outpatient setting, using Epic for charting.
• Close charts within 72 hours of the visit.
• Manage a panel of patients, including chronic care and chronic pain management responsibilities.

Logistics and support

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
• EMR: Epic.
• Chart closure requirement: within 72 hours.

Requirements

• Active California medical license.
• Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (if BE, must be within 5 years post-residency).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar outpatient/panel-management setting.
• Experience managing chronic pain.
• Current BLS/CPR and DEA registration.
• Up-to-date immunizations (including flu, TB status/X-ray as required).
• CV must include month and date for all work experience and education, with all employment gaps explained.
