We’re seeking a board-certified/board-eligible urologist to provide locum tenens support at a hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a call-only, inpatient coverage role that begins June 26 and will continue on an ongoing basis to supplement the existing team.
What to expect
- Call type: beeper with a 20-minute response expectation
- Average phone consults: about 10 per shift
- Patient volume while on call: typically 5–15 patients
- Rounding is included when required
- Support: 1 medical assistant, 1 APP, and 1 office staff
- Typical procedures: general adult urology and ureteroscopy
- Department beds: 99
- EMR systems: Athena and Cerner
- Temporary privileges can be arranged
Logistics and coverage
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided
- Coverage period: starts June 26 and is ongoing
- Call schedule: to be determined
Requirements
- Active Tennessee medical license
- BC/BE in Urology
