Job Description
Brown University Health seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible glaucoma specialist to join its Ophthalmology department in Providence, RI. This role combines clinical glaucoma practice, surgery, and academic participation within an academically affiliated health system and established regional referral network.
Practice setting
- Join 12 ophthalmology providers delivering primary and specialty eye care.
- Clinical mix: outpatient glaucoma management and surgical care.
- Surgical sites: fully equipped centers in Providence, RI and Attleboro, MA.
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide medical and surgical management of glaucoma patients.
- Maintain outpatient clinics and perform glaucoma surgeries at the designated surgical centers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support continuity of care across sites.
Academic opportunities
- Participate in a residency program with Brown-affiliated medical students.
- Teach and mentor physician assistant students during clinical rotations.
- Engage in academic activities, education, and mentorship.
Compensation & benefits
- Base salary range: $225,000–$325,000 plus RVU-based productivity incentives.
- Three-year employment agreement.

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Fellowship training in Glaucoma required.
