Job Description

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to serve as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at a hospital just south of Boston, MA. This leadership position combines clinical practice with operational, quality, and program development responsibilities for a modern Cath Lab.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide advanced interventional cardiology care, including primary and elective PCI
  • Oversee Cath Lab operations, quality improvement, performance metrics, and program growth
  • Participate in 24/7 emergency cardiac care and management of acute myocardial infarction
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac and hospital teams to coordinate patient care and resource utilization
  • Administrative duties related to scheduling, staffing, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning

Practice structure and schedule

  • State-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with full hospital support and specialty services
  • Mix of inpatient and outpatient practice
  • Weekly schedule: 4 clinical days and 1 administrative day
  • Shared hospital-based call rotation: 1:5

Required qualifications

  • MD or DO from accredited institution
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or strong interest in program development preferred
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary range: $400,000–$475,000
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance

  • Paid time off: 5 weeks annual time off (ATO) plus holidays
  • CME allowance and 1 week dedicated CME time
