Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Inverness, FL

We’re looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join a locum tenens team in Inverness, Florida. You’ll work in a freshly renovated emergency department that’s efficient, modern, and geared toward managing a high-acuity adult population.

Quick snapshot:

• Annual ED volume: 45,000 visits
• Shift coverage: 36 physician hours/day and 40 APP hours/day
• Bed count: 28 private rooms, bariatric-capable
• Patient mix: mostly adult and geriatric, low pediatric volume (~6%)
• No trauma designation and no OB/GYN coverage
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
• DEA license
• Previous experience in busy EDs is preferred
• Comfort managing a broad range of emergency presentations in a non-trauma setting
