Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist (Richmond, VA)

We’re looking for a locum non-invasive cardiology physician to join a collaborative team in Richmond, VA. This role blends inpatient and outpatient care with rotating night and weekend call, focusing on adult and geriatric patients.

Schedule and Call

• Monday–Friday day shifts (8 hours)
• Rotating night and weekend call; call ratio 1:6

Practice Setting and Tools

• Mix of inpatient care, outpatient clinic, and consults
• Patient population: adults and geriatrics
• EMR: Epic

Typical Volumes

• Clinic: ~10 patients per day
• Inpatient admissions: roughly 12–15 per physician per day

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform and interpret EKGs
• Manage complex cardiac conditions, including advanced heart failure
• Participate in rounds, consults, and admissions
• Provide rotating night and weekend call coverage
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in Epic

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Active Virginia medical license or ability to obtain one
• ACLS certification
• DEA license
• LVAD experience required/certified
• Advanced Heart Failure fellowship preferred
