OB Hospitalist — Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (Charleston, SC)

Join a hospital-based OB/GYN team focused on improving patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring every pregnant patient receives expert care from an experienced physician.

• Charleston, South Carolina (additional opportunities in Columbia, Florence, Mount Pleasant, Myrtle Beach, Summerville, and Walterboro)

Position overview

• Full-time hospitalist role collaborating with local obstetricians
• Emphasis on clinical quality, communication, and team-based care
• Autonomy in schedule creation and clinical practice

Compensation and schedule

• Salary: $340,000–$360,000 annually plus full benefits
• Typical schedule: seven 24-hour shifts per month (approximately 21 days off)
• No office management responsibilities and no additional on-call duties

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care
• Manage obstetric emergencies and coordinate care with hospital teams and community obstetricians
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• South Carolina medical license or ability to obtain one
• Proven ability to manage obstetric emergencies and provide high-quality inpatient care
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
• Commitment to continuous clinical improvement
