Join a hospitalist OB/GYN team in Carbondale, IL providing expert inpatient and obstetric care to improve patient safety and satisfaction for every pregnant patient who presents to the hospital.

Location

• Carbondale, Illinois (other opportunities in MI City, Moline, Silvis available)

Work model

• Full-time hospitalist role covering inpatient OB/GYN and labor/delivery
• Typical schedule: 7–9 24-hour shifts per month (about 21 days off/month)
• No clinic responsibilities, no home-call, ability to co-create schedule with team

Compensation

• Salary: $300,000–$340,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care and manage obstetric emergencies
• Collaborate with local obstetricians, nursing, and hospital teams to ensure safe, timely care
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one
• Proven ability to manage obstetric emergencies and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
• Strong clinical skills, communication, and commitment to continuous improvement
