Job Description

Join a hospitalist OB/GYN team in Augusta, Georgia, providing expert inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care to improve patient safety and satisfaction. Work collaboratively with local obstetricians while maintaining a superior work/life balance.

Location

  • Augusta, GA (additional opportunities in Albany, Covington, and Savannah available)

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient OB/GYN care for pregnant and postpartum patients
  • Manage obstetric emergencies and labor/delivery care
  • Coordinate care with local obstetricians, nursing, and ancillary teams
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives
  • Contribute to peer review and clinical protocols as needed

Schedule and compensation

  • Full-time hospitalist position; create-your-own schedule
  • Typical workload: 7–9 24-hour shifts per month (approx. 21 days off monthly)
  • No outpatient clinic management or traditional on-call obligations
  • Salary: $300,000–$340,000 annually plus full benefits

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Georgia medical license or ability to obtain licensure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage obstetric emergencies and provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and commitment to continuous clinical improvement
