Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician — Oakdale, CA (12-hr Shifts, $315/hr, 1099)

We are expanding our Emergency Medicine team in Oakdale, CA and seek board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to join a collaborative group of 6+ physicians and 2.5 APPs. The team provides 24-hour physician coverage and daily APP coverage.

Hospital & facility highlights

• 12-bed Emergency Department with all private rooms plus 4 fast-track beds
• 5 ICU beds and 30 med/surg beds
• Radiology, CT, ultrasound, and MRI available during daytime hours
• Established specialty support including anesthesiology, interventional radiology, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, wound care, and mobile crisis psychiatry
• Hospital preparing for Level IV trauma designation (anticipated 2025–2026)

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide emergency care in an acute-care hospital ED that manages ~20,579 patients annually (≈2.1 patients/hour; ~4% admission rate)
• Coordinate care with consulting specialists and support services
• Participate in departmental initiatives related to quality, throughput, and trauma readiness
• Typical schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.); full-time = 120 hours/month; part-time options available

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
