Trauma Surgeon / Surgical Intensivist (Acute Care) — Level I Trauma & Burn Center, Phoenix, AZ

Join a busy, multidisciplinary team at a designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in metropolitan Phoenix. We’re looking for a full-time fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon/Surgical Intensivist/Acute Care Surgeon who enjoys high-acuity clinical work, teaching, and contributing to research in a collaborative atmosphere.

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care across the spectrum of acute surgical services.
• Work closely with an experienced trauma team and report to the Chief of Trauma and the Chair of Surgery.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows, and engage in clinical, translational, or basic science research opportunities.

Who we’re looking for

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency and a surgical critical care fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care (American Board of Surgery)
• Demonstrated expertise in emergency surgery, trauma care, and critical care management
• A track record of teaching and research activity is preferred
