Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Fort Pierce, FL

Join our team as a locum Emergency Medicine physician in Fort Pierce, FL. Provide high-quality acute care across emergency department settings, managing a broad range of presentations and delivering time-sensitive interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Triage and evaluate emergency patients: obtain histories, perform physical exams, and order/interprete diagnostics.
• Stabilize and manage medical, traumatic, pediatric, and behavioral emergencies.
• Perform procedures common to emergency medicine (e.g., laceration repair, splinting, I&D, airway management, procedural sedation).
• Initiate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate disposition (admit, transfer, or discharge).
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Communicate effectively with consultants, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure continuity of care.
• Adhere to institutional policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• ABEM or AOBEM board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Florida medical license.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Experience in emergency medicine with competency in common ED procedures and acute care decision-making.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Location:

• Fort Pierce, FL — emergency department coverage on a locum tenens basis. Shift schedule and duration to be arranged per assignment.
