Locum Emergency Medicine Physician — Flexible Shifts in Scenic Sarasota, FL (Board-Cert/Eligible)

Join our team in Sarasota, FL as a locum tenens Emergency Medicine physician — a flexible, fast-paced role where you’ll provide high-quality acute care across varied emergency settings. You’ll see a broad spectrum of cases, perform focused physical exams, review histories and diagnostics, and initiate treatments ranging from medication management to minor procedures and other urgent interventions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Evaluate and stabilize patients with acute medical and traumatic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, then develop and implement timely treatment plans.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and procedures common to emergency medicine.
• Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput.
• Document encounters accurately and communicate clearly with patients and families.

What we’re looking for:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
• Active Florida medical license.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a busy ED environment.
