Job Description
Seeking a locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality acute care in Sanford, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency care in the ED: triage, history/physical, diagnostic interpretation, and disposition.
- Stabilize and manage a wide range of acute medical and traumatic conditions.
- Perform procedures typical to emergency practice (suturing, incision/drainage, airway management, chest tube, procedural sedation, etc.).
- Order and interpret labs and imaging; initiate appropriate treatment plans and medications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, consultants, and ED staff; document care accurately and timely.
- Follow hospital policies, quality and safety protocols, and participate in handoffs.
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Active Florida medical license.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Previous ED experience preferred; locum tenens experience a plus.
- Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and effective communication.

- Sanford, FL — historic downtown, waterfront parks, close to Orlando with easy access to regional amenities.
