Join a contract/travel assignment in Lanham, MD as a Physical Therapy Assistant. This 14-week position starts ASAP with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Pay: Travel rate $1,505/35 hrs; Local rate $1,484/35 hrs.
Requirements:
- Valid, active PTA state license.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Physical Therapist in patient evaluations by collecting histories, observing function, and assisting with goal setting.
- Implement prescribed interventions, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Operate therapeutic equipment safely and instruct patients in home exercise programs and proper techniques.
- Document treatments, progress, and communications accurately in patient records.
- Communicate and coordinate with the care team to optimize treatment plans.
- Follow safety and infection control procedures and provide compassionate encouragement to patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
