Join a 13-week contract in Rio Rancho, NM providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services. This full-time role begins ASAP with a schedule of Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM. Compensation: Travel $2,182/36 hours; Local $2,149/36 hours.

Minimum requirement:

  • Valid, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Core responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical assessments and diagnostic testing.
  • Diagnose communication and swallowing impairments and determine severity.
  • Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, expressive language, and swallowing function.
  • Implement strategies for safe swallowing and, when appropriate, recommend and train patients on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, carryover strategies, and compensatory techniques.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; modify treatment plans as indicated.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including physicians, therapists, and educators—to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, plans, progress notes).
  • Support patients in generalizing improved communication skills to daily, educational, and workplace settings.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
