Rate: Travel: $1,318/36-hours

Minimum requirements

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Core responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, basic procedures.
• Conduct patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following orders and facility policies.
• Manage wounds/incisions: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records: treatments, medications, observations, and communications.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
• Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure proper IV line function.
• Provide catheter care (insertion when required by scope), maintenance, and complication monitoring.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, pain management, and overall comfort and safety.
• Respond to emergencies according to protocol and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff for coordinated care.
• Supervise CNAs/unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable.
• Participate in ongoing education to maintain current clinical knowledge.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
