Call schedule: 24-hour beeper call; site reports ~6–8 hours in-house per day
Patient population: Adult inpatient GI (typical bread-and-butter cases)
Daily census/volume: 10–20 patients; ~10 admissions per night
Clinical duties
- Provide 24-hour GI call coverage (beeper)
- Manage inpatient and ED GI consults
- Perform inpatient procedures: ERCP and general endoscopy
- Conduct daily rounding on assigned patients
- Collaborate with 3 dedicated inpatient GI APPs and hospital staff
Facility & systems - EMR: Epic
- Reason for coverage: Supplemental
Privileges & compliance - Hospital privileges required
- NPDB required
Compensation & benefits - Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements & credentials - KY medical license highly preferred; IMLC accepted
- DEA required
- Board certified or board eligible
- ACLS certification required
- Required experience: must be able to perform ERCP
- Clean malpractice history preferred
