**Ophthalmology Opening in IL**
Located in Macomb, Illinois
**About the Position**
A Board Eligible/Board Certified Ophthalmologist is sought to join a high-volume, established practice within a community-focused hospital. This opportunity offers immediate patient volume, strong surgical exposure, and the ability to develop subspecialty interests.
-High-volume practice: 40–50 patients per day
-Approximately 500 cataract surgeries annually
-Flexible call schedule
-Collaborative team with Ophthalmologist and Optometrist
-Opportunity to build subspecialty focus
-Broad scope including cataracts, glaucoma, lasers, and minor procedures
-Combination of medical and surgical ophthalmology
**Practice Setting**
-Independent, community hospital (48 beds)
-Strong referral base with growing primary care network
-Modern EMR systems: Modernizing Medicine (clinic) and Cerner (hospital)
-Experienced clinical and administrative support team
-Physician-driven, collaborative culture
**Compensation and Benefits**
-Base salary + RVU production model (approx. 8,917 RVUs @ $49.24/RVU)
-Sign-on bonus
-Relocation assistance
-Loan repayment and residency stipend
-CME: 8 days / $5,500
-Malpractice with tail coverage
-Retirement plans: 401(a) and 457(b)
