Locum Tenens Hospitalist — Inpatient & ICU Coverage in Price, UT (Travel, Lodging & Malpractice Covered)

Locum tenens inpatient hospitalist position covering clinical shifts with in-house call in Price, UT. Coverage dates: June 29–July 1, 2026. Call response time: 20 minutes; callback rate: 3–5%. Schedule: adult patients, average census ~10 per shift, with ~3 phone consults per day. Rounding included.

Clinical responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient hospitalist care, including management of ICU and med/surg patients.
• Perform daily rounds and respond to in-house call and consult requests.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, including non-invasive and invasive ventilator care and intubation.
• Interpret EKGs and place arterial and PICC lines as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing (5–7 RNs) and 24-hour specialty support (anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, radiology, laboratory).

Facility and systems:

• ICU: 6 beds; Med/Surg: 20 beds; Trauma Level IV.
• EMR: Medhost.
• Support: 2 office staff.
• Reason for coverage: supplemental.

Credentials and logistics:

• Active Utah medical license required; BC/BE preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Temporary privileges available.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
