Join a busy neurosurgery team in Tampa, FL as a locum tenens APP supporting inpatient care. This is a supplemental clinical role with scheduled call responsibilities, covering adults and pediatric patients in a large Level II trauma center.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage, including daily rounding and clinical care.
- Participate in night and weekend beeper call with a 1:4–1:5 call ratio.
- Work an alternating schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, averaging 40 hours/week and roughly 2 weeks per month on-site.
- Collaborate with a team of 5 neurosurgeons and 4 APPs, using Cerner for documentation.

- Trauma Level II and Pediatric Level II
- Inpatient service setting with both adult and pediatric patients
Logistics & support
- Coverage period: ASAP – ongoing
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage provided
Requirements
- Active Florida license
- Board certified
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years’ neurosurgery experience OR equivalent
