Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST or equivalent, as required)
- Experience in Labor & Delivery or obstetric surgery preferred
- Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile fields for L&D surgical procedures
- Assist during cesarean sections and other obstetric surgeries
- Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments, sponges, and supplies
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
- Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures
- Clean, restock, and prepare rooms for subsequent cases
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and anesthesia staff
- Assist with patient positioning and transport as needed
